"WABI SABI": to embrace imperfect beauty
Our kimonos are not mass produced - each vintage kimono has been carefully hand stitched with the highest craftsmanship and care.
Each kimono has been hand selected in Japan. It is as unique and remarkable as you are. We have yet to come across two kimonos that are alike, some are up to 120 years old!
Our mission is to empower & encourage women. A portion of each sale is returned to the community through women run, women focused, organizations.
This is what a traditional kimono looks like, but styled in a new way - over jeans and a tee, belted over a dress, or thrown on as a cover up. Our kimonos can be altered to any length that you desire - calf, knee, or waist length. We encourage you to make your one-of-a-kind vintage kimono uniquely YOU.
A haori is a short kimono, that was once worn as a coat over a full-length kimono in the winter time as an extra layer for warmth. Some haori have ties on the inside that were used to tie the garment closed. We can't wait to see how you style your vintage haori - open, tied, or belted!
We embrace our imperfections.
Empower & encourage women around the globe.
Are inspired by authenticity.
Our guarantee is that when you buy a kimono from Wabi Sabi Threads, you are buying an authentic Japanese garment that was produced and sourced from Japan. Once your kimono arrives, if you change your mind or it just doesn't fit right, check out our seven day return policy. We are here to serve you.
